Etc: baking and other musings.

I created my first sourdough starter in a tiny LA apartment out of flour, pineapple juice, and water. Research, work, and classes caught up to me, and I had to take a baking hiatus. Later, I rediscovered my interest in sourdough during a graduate school interview with John Witte, who kindly lent me his wife's 30-year-old sourdough starter. Since then, I've been baking regularly.
